We have an immediate opening for:

Position Title: CMM Programmer
Shift Hours: First Shift 7:00am – 3:30pm
Essential Duties:
•Writes and edits inspection programs for CMMs, specifies inspection criteria & testing best practice techniques ensuring the integrity of the delivered component and repair/inspection process. (Specifically MCosmos for CMM Programming) Develops a uniform and consistent method of program retention & categorization for company-wide access and use across 6 CMM machines.
•Provides assistance and input to the engineering team (manufacturing & quality) on existing programs using engineering skills to improve and optimize the process.
•Creates and/ or reviews Incoming, In-process and final IMS documents for procedural accuracy and technical content.
•Conducts training on CMM equipment use, programming and basic maintenance protocols and procedures.
•Interfaces with manufacturing & quality engineers to provide checks and balances.
•Perform visual and dimensional inspections of precision machine components in accordance with customer drawings, operations sheets, inspection method sheets, and travelers.
•Perform all other duties as required.
Education & Experience:
•Must have experience writing and editing programs for CMM machines in MCosmos. Offline programming work environment in newly constructed, climate controlled inspection lab. General computer skills and Microsoft Windows knowledge is helpful.
•Requires excellent knowledge of gaging systems, measurement techniques, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerances.
•Ability to read, understand and interpret blueprints and other technical documentation. Strong math (trig)/problem solving skills required.
•2 year post-secondary education/degree or equivalent technical training
•Experience in a quality controlled environment with ISO, AS9100D, NADCAP, FAA regulations
Prior experience with complex aerospace components (turbine engines) or overhaul & repair work is preferred.
